Interactive components are a feature of Figma that let you create components that can be used in interactive designs. To enable interactive components in Figma, follow these steps:

1. In the menus at the top of the screen, click File > New > Component.

2. In the New Component dialog box, select Interactive from the Type drop-down list and click OK.

3. In the interactive component editor, add a div element and give it the name myComponent.

4. In the myComponent editor, add a button element and give it the name MyButton.

5. In the myComponent editor, add an input element and give it the name MyInput.

6. In the myComponent editor, add an output element and give it the name MyOutput.

7. In the myComponent editor, add an event handler for the MyButton’s click event and add the following code to it:

function MyButton_click(e)

var myInput = document.getElementById(“myInput”);

var myOutput = document.getElementById(“myOutput”);

myInput.value = “Hello, world!”;

myOutput.innerHTML = myInput.value;

8. Save the myComponent file.

9. In the menu at the top of the screen, click File > Preview > MyComponent.

10. Click the MyButton in the preview window.

11. Click the MyInput in the preview window.

12. Click the MyOutput in the preview window.

13. Click the MyOutput in the preview.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not enable interactive components. Doing so could cause unexpected behavior and may result in lost or corrupted data.
