How Do I Enable UPS Shipping in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:20 pm

The WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is a popular eCommerce solution, and one of its key features is the ability to integrate with UPS shipping. In this article, we’ll show you how to enable UPS shipping in WooCommerce.

First, you’ll need to log into your WordPress admin panel and navigate to the WooCommerce settings page. On this page, you’ll see a tab labeled “Shipping.” Click on this tab and then select the “UPS” shipping method from the list of available options.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll need to enter your UPS account information into the fields provided. This includes your UPS account number, as well as your username and password. Once you’ve entered this information, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to run an online store, you may want to consider enabling UPS shipping. Doing so will give your customers the option to have their orders shipped via UPS, which can be a more cost-effective and reliable shipping method than other carriers. However, before you enable UPS shipping in WooCommerce, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

First, UPS shipping is only available for orders shipped within the United States. If you have customers in other countries, you will need to use a different shipping method for those orders.

Second, UPS charges a separate fee for each package that is shipped. This fee is based on the weight and dimensions of the package, as well as the shipping destination. As such, you will need to factor in these additional costs when setting your shipping rates.

Finally, it is important to note that UPS does not deliver on Sundays or holidays. If you have an order that needs to be delivered on one of these days, you will need to use an alternative shipping method.

Now that UPS shipping is enabled in WooCommerce, you can begin configuring your shipping settings. To do this, navigate to the “Shipping Zones” page which can be found under the “Shipping” tab in the WooCommerce settings. Here, you can add new shipping zones and specify which countries are included in each zone.

For each shipping zone that you create, you can then specify different shipping methods and rates. For example, you could offer free shipping to certain countries, or flat rate shipping to others. You can also specify different UPS shipping options for each zone, such as UPS Ground or UPS Express.

Once you’ve configured your shipping settings, be sure to click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page. Your UPS shipping options will now be available to customers during checkout.
