Enabling WebP support for WordPress is easy. In the WordPress admin area, navigate to Settings > Media > WebP. On this screen, you will see a toggle for WebP support.

To enable it, simply turn on the switch. You will then be able to use the WebP feature in your WordPress posts and pages.

PRO TIP: WebP is a new image format that provides lossless and lossy compression for images on the web. WordPress does not currently support WebP images. However, there are plugins available that will enable WebP support for your WordPress site.

We recommend that you backup your WordPress site before installing any plugins. Additionally, be sure to read the reviews and ratings for any plugins you download and install.

When you upload a WebP image to your WordPress site, WordPress will automatically convert it to an image format that is supported by your web browser. If you are using a browser that does not support WebP, WordPress will display a standard image instead.

WebP is a new image format that is supported by most web browsers. The benefits of using WebP over other image formats include better image quality and smaller file sizes.

If you are planning to use WebP on your WordPress site, it is important to ensure that your web browser is compatible.
