How Do I Enable Zoom in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:52 pm

Zoom is an essential tool for eCommerce, and WooCommerce is no different. By default, WooCommerce does not include the ability to zoom in on product images, but it is possible to add this functionality with a few simple steps.

First, you need to download and install the WooCommerce Product Image Zoom plugin. Once the plugin is installed and activated, you need to go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Product Image Zoom and configure the plugin settings. There are three zoom mode options:

  • Window: This will open a popup window when the customer clicks on the image. The image will be zoomed in automatically.
  • Inner: This will zoom the image inside the main product image area.

The customer will need to hover over the image to see the zoom effect.

  • Lens: This will display a magnifying glass lens over the image. The customer will need to hover over the image to see the zoom effect.

There are also a few other settings that can be configured, such as zoom type, z-index, scroll zooming, etc. Once you have everything configured to your liking, click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

And that’s it! You have now successfully added zoom functionality to your WooCommerce product images.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to enable zoom in WooCommerce, be aware that this may cause some problems with your images. In particular, your images may become distorted or pixelated when they are zoomed in. Additionally, your images may not always appear at the correct size when viewed on different devices.

Adding zoom functionality to your product images can make a big difference in your eCommerce store. It can help customers get a closer look at products before they purchase, which can lead to more sales. With just a few simple steps, you can add this essential feature to your WooCommerce store.
