How Do I Even Out the Background in Photoshop?

There are a few things you can do to even out the background in Photoshop. You can use the levels tool to adjust the brightness and contrast of the image.

You can also use the curves tool to adjust the levels of specific areas of the image. You can also use the clone stamp tool to clone parts of the image that are too dark or too light. Finally, you can use the gradient tool to create a gradient that fades from dark to light.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, this tutorial may not be for you. It is important to have a basic understanding of the program before attempting to follow along. Additionally, this tutorial assumes that you have a basic understanding of how to use layers.

To even out the background using the levels tool, first select the levels tool from the toolbar. Then, click on the black point eyedropper and click on an area of the image that is too dark.

Next, click on the white point eyedropper and click on an area of the image that is too light. Finally, click on the middle gray point eyedropper and click on an area of the image that is a medium gray. This will adjust the brightness and contrast of the entire image.
