Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration. It’s built to help you create amazing work, together.

If you’re working on a web project, you’ll probably need to export your Figma designs at some point so your developer can use them to build the site. So how do you do that?

There are a few different ways to export from Figma, depending on what type of file you need. For images, you can export as PNG, JPEG, or SVG.

For code, you can export CSS, JSON, or XML. And for prototypes, you can export HTML or PDF.

PRO TIP: When exporting from Figma to a developer, it is important to make sure that you have the correct export settings configured. Incorrect export settings can lead to errors in the exported code, which can be difficult to debug.

To export an image from Figma, select the item you want to export in the left hand panel and then click the “Export” button in the top toolbar. This will open the Export menu, where you can choose your file type and size.

To export code from Figma, select the “Code” tab in the left hand panel and then click the “Export” button in the top toolbar. This will open the Export menu, where you can choose your file type.

To export a prototype from Figma, select the “Prototype” tab in the left hand panel and then click the “Export” button in the top toolbar.
