How Do I Export Slices in Figma?

When you’re working on a design in Figma, you may want to export individual slices or groups of slices. This can be helpful when you’re sharing your work with others or when you’re ready to start coding your design. In this article, we’ll show you how to export slices in Figma.

To export a slice, first select the element that you want to export. Then, click on the “Export” button in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

A dialog box will appear, asking you to choose a file format for the exported file. Choose “PNG” or “JPEG” from the drop-down menu and click “Export. ”

You can also export multiple slices at once by selecting them all before clicking on the “Export” button. When you do this, Figma will create a separate file for each slice that you’ve selected.

Once you’ve exported your slices, you can style them using HTML tags. To do this, open the exported files in a text editor and add the following tags around the text:

PRO TIP: If you are planning to export slices in Figma, please be aware that there are a few things to keep in mind. First, when exporting slices, only the selected layer will be exported. If you have multiple layers selected, only the topmost layer will be exported. Secondly, when exporting slices, the background color of the exported image will be solid white. Finally, please note that only .png and .jpg files can be exported as slices.

How Do I Export Slices in Figma?

In Figma, exporting slices refers to saving out selected pieces of your design as individual images. This is helpful for a number of reasons such as:

  • When you want to share your work with others
  • When you’re ready to start coding your design

To export a slice, first select the element that you want to save as an image. Then click on the “Export” button in the toolbar located at the top of your screen.

A dialog box will appear asking you which file format you would like to use for your exported file. Choose either “PNG” or “JPEG” from the drop-down menu and click “Export.”

You can also export multiple slices simultaneously by selecting them all before clicking on that same “Export” button. When doing so, Figma will create a separate image file for each individual slice that was selected.

After successfully exporting your slices, they can then be styled using HTML tags. To do this open up the exported files in a text editor and add any of the following tags around sections of text:
