How do I find my AWS region?

In order to find your AWS region, you can use the AWS Region Manager tool or the AWS Console tool. The Region Manager tool can be found at https://AWS.Amazon.com/region-manager/ and the AWS Console tool can be found at https://console.

AWS.com/.

The Region Manager tool allows you to see a list of all the AWS regions, as well as their IDs and names. The AWS Console tool allows you to see information about an individual AWS region, such as its name, ID, and status.

PRO TIP: If you are unsure of which AWS region you are using, you can check the region in the AWS Management Console. To do so, open the AWS Management Console, and then look at the URL in the address bar. The region is specified in the path, after “console”, such as “us-east-1” in the following URL:

https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/

You can also use the AWS Console tool to find out the availability of an AWS region and to see the list of applications and services that are available in that region.
