How Do I Find My Squarespace Template ID?

Last updated on December 12, 2022 @ 5:01 am

There are a few ways to find your Squarespace template ID. One way is to look in the source code of your site. If you’re using the Chrome browser, you can do this by right-clicking on your site and selecting “View source.”

Once you have the source code open, press Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac) to open the search function.

Then, type in “templateID” (without the quotation marks) and hit enter. This should bring you to a line that looks something like this:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://static1.Squarespace.com/static/siteID/templateID/page-type.css"/>

The string of numbers after “templateID” is your template ID.

Another way to find your template ID is to go to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. In the box labeled “Header Code Injection” you should see a line that looks like this:

<script>Squarespace.setTemplate({templateId: 'siteID', version: '1'});</script>

The string of numbers after “templateId” is your template ID.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for your Squarespace Template ID, beware that there are many scams online that will try to trick you into giving them your personal information. Be sure to only use a trusted source when looking for your Squarespace Template ID.
