How Do I Find the Number of Items in My WooCommerce Cart?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:21 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, it’s important to know how many items are in your cart at any given time. There are a few ways to find this information.

The first way is to look at the top of your screen. If you’re using the default WooCommerce theme, you’ll see a small cart icon next to the search bar. Clicking on this will open up a drop-down menu that shows you the number of items in your cart, as well as the total price.

Another way to find out how many items are in your WooCommerce cart is to go to the Cart page. This can be found by hovering over the My Account link in the top navigation bar, and then selecting Cart from the drop-down menu. On the Cart page, you’ll see a summary of all the items in your cart, including the quantities and prices.

Finally, you can also find out how many items are in your WooCommerce cart by looking at the source code of your website. To do this, open up your website in a web browser and press Ctrl + U on your keyboard (or Cmd + U if you’re using a Mac). This will open up the source code of your website in a new tab. Once you’re here, do a search for “wc_cart_contents_count”. This will bring up a line of code that looks something like this:

cart->get_cart_contents_count(); ?>. This is the line of code that tells WooCommerce how many items are in your cart.

Conclusion:

So, these were some of the ways through which you can find out how many items are there in your WooCommerce Cart. All these methods are pretty simple and straightforward. However, if you want to get an accurate count of all the items present in your cart, then we would recommend that you use the third method i.e., by looking at the source code of your website.

PRO TIP: Please be cautious when using the WooCommerce cart feature. While this feature can be helpful in keeping track of your items, it is important to remember that it is not always accurate. In some cases, the number of items in your cart may be different than the number of items you actually have. If you are unsure about the accuracy of your cart, please contact a WooCommerce representative for assistance.
