How do I fix missing fonts in Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:56 pm

Missing fonts can be a frustrating issue to deal with in Figma. The first step is to determine where the fonts are missing. In most cases, this will be easy to determine. If the fonts are missing from the Figma library, they will be missing from the output file as well.

If the fonts are missing from the output file, but they are present in the library, then they may have been deleted from the library, or they may have been renamed. In either case, there is usually a way to fix the missing fonts.

PRO TIP: If you are experiencing missing fonts in Figma, this is most likely due to a problem with your internet connection. Try restarting your computer and opening Figma again. If the problem persists, please contact customer support.

If the fonts are missing from the library, the first step is to create a copy of the library and rename the copy to match the missing fonts. Next, open the library and search for the missing fonts.

Copy the font files to the new library and rename the copies to match the original names. Finally, delete the original library.

If the fonts are missing from the output file, the first step is to open the output file in a text editor. Next, search for the missing fonts.
