How do I free transform in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:17 pm

If you want to free transform a layer in Photoshop, there are a few things you need to know. The first thing you need to do is select the layer you want to transform.

Next, use the keyboard shortcut Command (Ctrl) + T to open the Free Transform command. From here, you can use the controls in the window to change the shape of the layer.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that when you free transform in Photoshop, you are essentially changing the pixels in your image. This can lead to a loss of quality in your image, so be sure to save a copy of your original image before transforming.

The final step is to save your transformation. To do this, simply click the File menu and select Save.

You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S to save your changes.
