How Do I Freeze a Menu on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:19 am

When you first create a website, it can be difficult to decide what content to put on your site and how to organize it. You may want to add new pages or features as you think of them, but eventually you’ll want to “freeze” your menu so that visitors can easily find what they’re looking for. In this article, we’ll show you how to freeze a menu on Wix.

There are two ways to freeze a menu on Wix:

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

1. Use the “Freeze” option in the Wix Editor.

2. Use the “Fixed Position” option in the Wix Editor.

The “Freeze” option will keep your menu in the same spot on the screen as visitors scroll down your page. The “Fixed Position” option will make your menu float in the same spot on the screen, even if visitors scroll down your page.

PRO TIP: If you are trying to freeze a menu on Wix, be aware that this is not possible. The only way to achieve a similar effect is to use the “pin” feature, which will keep the menu in place while you scroll down the page. However, this is not a true “freeze” and the menu can still be moved if the user scrolls up or down.

Both options are easy to use and can be found in the Wix Editor. To learn more about how to use these options, read our full article on freezing a menu on Wix.
