Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:53 pm

As a Shopify merchant, you may want to use Instagram to promote your products on your website. In order to do this, you need an Instagram Access Token. Here’s how to get one:

1. Go to the Instagram Developer website

In order to get an Access Token, you need to be a registered developer with Instagram. If you’re not already registered, you can do so by going to the Instagram Developer website and clicking on the “Register” button.

2. Create a new client

Once you’re registered, you can create a new client by clicking on the “Create a New Client” button on the Developer website. You’ll need to provide some information about your application, including its name and website URL.

3. Configure your client

Next, you’ll need to configure your client. On the Configuration page, you’ll need to select the “Website” platform and enter your website URL in the “Site URL” field.

4. Generate an Access Token

Finally, you can generate an Access Token by clicking on the “Generate Token” button on the Configuration page. Once you have your Access Token, you can add it to your Shopify settings and start promoting your products on Instagram!

Adding an Instagram feed to your Shopify store is a great way to show off your products and engage with your customers. To get one, simply go to the Instagram Developer website and register as a developer.

Once you’re registered, you can create a new client and configure it for use with Shopify. Finally, generate an Access Token and add it to your Shopify settings. With an Access Token, you can start promoting your products on Instagram and driving traffic back to your store!

PRO TIP: If you are considering using the Shopify InstagramAccess Token, be aware that it is no longer a valid method for getting your Instagram photos onto your website. Shopify stopped supporting this method in June 2016.
