As a WooCommerce store owner, you may have wondered how to get product status in WooCommerce. Here’s a look at what product status is and how you can use it to your advantage.

Product status is a way of indicating whether a product is available for purchase or not. It can be used to track inventory, set prices, and more. There are four product statuses in WooCommerce:

  • Published: This means the product is available for purchase.
  • Draft: This means the product is not yet available for purchase, but it is in development.
  • Pending: This means the product is awaiting approval from a WooCommerce administrator.
  • Private: This means the product is only available for purchase by certain users (e.g., members of a private club).

You can set a product’s status by going to the Publish box on the right hand side of the Edit Product page and selecting the appropriate status from the Status drop-down menu.

Note:

If you don’t see the Publish box, you may need to click on the “Screen Options” tab at the top of the page and make sure that the “Publish” box is checked.

.

The four statuses are published, draft, pending, and private. You can set a product’s status by going to the Publish box on the right hand side of the edit product page and selecting the appropriate status from the Status drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to manage your product inventory, it is important to be aware of the different product statuses that are available. By default, WooCommerce will set new products to “Draft” status. This means that the product will not be visible to customers on your site unless you publish it. If you need to make changes to a product, it is best to set the status to “Pending” so that customers will not see the product until it is ready.
