How Do I Give Access to Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:29 am

There are a few different ways that you can give access to Figma. The first way is to simply share the link to your file. Anyone with the link will be able to view the file, but not edit it.

To do this, click the Share button in the top right of the screen and copy the link that appears. You can then paste this link into an email, chat, or wherever you like.

The second way to give access is to invite someone to collaborate on a file with you. To do this, click the Share button and then click Invite People.

Enter the email address of the person you want to invite and they will receive an email with a link to access the file. You can also add a message if you like. By default, people you invite will be able to edit your file, but you can change this by clicking the pencil icon next to their name and selecting Can view from the dropdown menu.

The third way to give access is to make a file public. This means that anyone with the link will be able to view and edit your file.

To do this, click the Share button and then toggle on Make Public in the top left of the popup. You’ll then be asked to confirm that you want to make the file public.

PRO TIP: If you are giving access to Figma to someone, please be aware that they will be able to view and edit any files that you have given them access to. Be sure to only give access to people who you trust and who you want to be able to edit your files.
