How Do I Give Someone Access to My Wix Website?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:12 pm

If you have a Wix website, you may want to give someone access to it. There are a few different ways to do this, depending on what level of access you want the person to have.

If you just want the person to be able to view your site, you can give them the link to your site. They will be able to see everything that is public on your site without having to log in.

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, giving someone access to your Wix website can be a security risk. Make sure that you trust the person before giving them access, and be sure to change your password afterwards.

If you want the person to be able to log in and make changes to your site, you will need to create a user account for them. To do this, go to the Users tab in your site’s settings. Click Add User and fill out the form with the person’s information.

Be sure to assign them a role that has the permissions you want them to have. For example, if you want them to be able to edit pages, assign them the Editor role.

If you only want the person to be able to view certain pages on your site, or if you only want them to be able to view your site for a certain amount of time, you can create a password for those pages. To do this, go to the page you want them to have access to and click Password Protection in the Settings menu.

Enter a password and click Save. Now, when someone goes to that page, they will need to enter the password before they can view the page.

Conclusion

There are several different ways that you can give someone access to your Wix website. You can give them the link, create a user account for them, or create a password for specific pages.
