There are two ways to install WiX. The first way is to use the Windows installer, and the second way is to use the MSI package.

To install WiX using the Windows installer, simply download the installer from the WiX website. Once you have downloaded the installer, run it and follow the prompts.

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

The installer will add WiX to your PATH and set up some environment variables for you. After the installer has finished, you will be able to run WiX commands from the command line.

To install WiX using the MSI package, download the MSI from the Wix Toolset. Once you have downloaded the MSI, double-click it to launch the installation wizard.

Follow the prompts in the wizard and choose where you want WiX to be installed. After installation has completed, you will need to add WiX to your PATH manually.

PRO TIP: When installing WiX locally, it is important to remember to run the installation program as an administrator. Otherwise, you may not be able to install the software properly. Additionally, it is important to follow the instructions carefully in order to avoid any potential problems.

Conclusion:

Installing WiX is a simple process that can be completed in just a few minutes. Whether you use the Windows installer or MSI package, you will be able to get started using WiX right away.
