How Do I Keep Inventory on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:50 am

As a small business owner, you know that one of the keys to success is keeping accurate inventory records. After all, if you don’t know what you have in stock, how can you sell it?

Luckily, if you’re using Wix as your website platform, there are a few ways to keep track of your inventory right on your site. Here’s how:

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

1. Use the Wix Stores App

If you have an online store built with Wix, the easiest way to keep track of your inventory is to use the Wix Stores app.

This app allows you to add and manage products right from your Wix dashboard. Simply create a product listing, add photos and descriptions, set a price, and specify how many you have in stock. When someone buys one of your products, the inventory count will be automatically updated.

2. Use Google Sheets

If you’re not using Wix Stores (or even if you are), you can also use Google Sheets to keep track of your inventory.

Just create a new sheet and add columns for all the relevant information (product name, description, price, quantity in stock, etc.). Then, whenever someone buys something from your site, be sure to update the quantities in your sheet so you always know what’s in stock.

3. Use a Third-Party Inventory Management System

If you want a more robust solution for keeping track of your inventory (and other aspects of your business), there are many third-party inventory management systems out there that integrate with Wix. These systems can do everything from help you keep track of multiple warehouses and locations to automatically update your website’s inventory count when someone buys something on your site.

PRO TIP: If you are using Wix to sell products online, it is important to keep track of your inventory levels. You can do this by manually updating your inventory levels in the Wix back-end, or by using a third-party inventory management system.

If you do not keep track of your inventory levels, you may sell products that are out of stock, which can frustrate customers and damage your business reputation.
