How Do I Lighten a Photo in Photoshop?

There are a few different ways that you can lighten a photo in Photoshop. One way is to adjust the levels. To do this, go to Image->Adjustments->Levels. You will see a graph with a black line running through the middle.

Move the black line to the right to lighten the photo. Another way to lighten a photo is to adjust the brightness/contrast. Go to Image->Adjustments->Brightness/Contrast. Move the slider for brightness to the right to make the photo brighter.
