How Do I Log Into Shopify as a Customer?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 2:29 pm

As a Shopify merchant, you have the ability to log in as a customer to view your store as your customers see it. This is useful for a number of reasons, including:

– Checking out the customer experience firsthand.
– Investigating issues that customers may be having.
– Testing new features or changes to see how they impact the customer experience.

PRO TIP: If you are not a Shopify employee, partner, or merchant, you will not be able to log into Shopify as a customer. This is because Shopify is a platform that is designed for businesses to sell their products online. If you are a potential customer of a business that uses Shopify, you will need to create an account with that business in order to purchase products from them.

Here’s how to log in as a customer on Shopify:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > General.
  2. Scroll down to the Storefront password section and check the “Enable storefront password” box.
  3. Save your changes.
  4. “Enter a password”, and then click “Save changes”.
  5. “Copy the link”.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings>General.                                <“//www.Shopify.com/admin/settings/general” Target=”_blank” title=”New window will open.

“>”Scroll down to the Storefront password section and check the “Enable storefront password” box.“Save your changes. “Enter a password”, and then click “Save changes”. “Copy the link”.<“//help.com/manual/your-account/customer-accounts/enable-customer-accounts#enable-storefront-password” Target=”blank” title= “New window will open. “>”Paste the link into a new browser window and enter the password you created in Step 4.

In order to log into Shopify as a customer, you must first enable Storefront passwords from within your General Settings. Once enabled, you will be able to create a password and copy a link to access your shop as a customer.
