How do I make a box in Illustrator?

In Illustrator, you can create boxes by using the Box tool, drawing a box on the Canvas, or by using the Rectangle tool and then drawing a box around the rectangle. You can also create a box by using the Pathfinder tool and clicking and dragging in the drawing.

To create a box using the Box tool, select the Box tool on the Toolbar, and then click and drag in the drawing to create the box. The corners of the box will be rounded.

PRO TIP: When creating a box in Illustrator, it is important to create a rectangular shape first. To do this, use the Rectangle Tool (M) to click and drag on your artboard. Once you have your rectangle, you can use the Edit > Transform > Warp command to change the shape of your box.

To create a box using the Rectangle tool, select the Rectangle tool, and then click and drag in the drawing to create the box. The corners of the box will be square.

To create a box by using the Pathfinder tool, select the Pathfinder tool, and then click and drag in the drawing to create the box. The corners of the box will be rounded if the box is created using the Box tool, or they will be square if the box is created using the Rectangle tool.
