How Do I Make a CD Cover in Canva?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 3:00 pm

There are a few things you need to make a CD cover in Canva: first, you’ll need a photo or graphic to use as the background for your design; second, you’ll need some text to add to the cover; and third, you’ll need to choose a font and color scheme for your text.

Once you have all of these elements, you can begin designing your CD cover in Canva. To start, click on the “Create a Design” button at the top of the Canva homepage. Then, select “CD Cover” from the list of design options.

Next, upload your background photo or graphic by clicking on the “Uploads” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then selecting the “Upload an Image” option. Once your image is uploaded, you can drag and drop it into place on your design canvas.

Now it’s time to add your text. To do this, click on the “Text” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then select the “Add Heading” or “Add Subheading” option. This will allow you to add a title and/or subtitle to your CD cover.

Once you’ve added your text, you can choose a font and color scheme for it by clicking on the “Text” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then selecting the “Change Font” or “Change Color” option.

Finally, when you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button in the top-right corner of the screen to save your design as a JPEG or PNG file.

PRO TIP: The following note is a warning for anyone considering using Canva to make a CD cover. While Canva is a great tool for creating simple designs, it is not intended for more complex projects like CD covers. The templates and tools available in Canva are not made for this purpose and as a result, your CD cover may not turn out the way you want it to. If you want to create a professional-looking CD cover, we recommend finding a more specialized program or working with a graphic designer.

Adding a CD cover in Canva is a great way to personalize your CDs and make them stand out from the rest. With just a few clicks, you can upload your own photos or graphics and add text to create a unique design.
