How do I make a free font in Illustrator?

Making a free font in Illustrator is fairly simple. First, open up Illustrator and create a new document. Next, choose the Type tool (T) and select the FB Garamond font from the Fonts panel. Click on the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the font panel and select Options.

In the Options window, change the font size to 100% and select the Use Symbols check box. Finally, click on OK to close the Options window.

PRO TIP: If you are not a trained graphic designer, creating your own font can be a difficult and time-consuming task. There are many software programs that can be used to create fonts, but Adobe Illustrator is one of the most popular. There are a few things to keep in mind when creating a font in Illustrator, such as kerning (the space between letters) and tracking (the overall space between all letters in a word). If you are not familiar with these terms, we recommend doing some research before starting your project. Additionally, it is important to make sure that your fonts are legible and easy to read. Otherwise, your audience may not be able to understand what you are trying to communicate.

Now, you can use the font in your document. To do this, simply drag and drop the font onto your document.

Alternatively, you can select the font and click on the Symbol button (O) in the toolbar and select the Add to Selection button. This will add the font to the selected object.
