How Do I Make a Professional Poster in Photoshop?

There are a few things you need to take into account when you’re creating a professional poster in Photoshop. First, you need to make sure that your text is legible and easy to read.

To do this, you should use a sans serif font such as Arial or Helvetica, and make sure that the text is large enough to be easily readable from a distance. You should also use strong contrasting colors for the text and the background, so that the text stands out.

PRO TIP: This tutorial is for an older version of Photoshop and may not work with your current version.

Once you’ve got your text sorted, you need to start thinking about the overall layout of the poster. The most important element is the central image, so make sure that this is given plenty of space and is positioned in an eye-catching way.

You can then add additional elements around it, such as smaller images, boxes of text, or graphics. Try to keep the overall design clean and simple, so that it’s easy to read and understand at a glance.

When you’re happy with the basic layout, you can start adding finishing touches such as background images or textures, shadows, or border effects. Again, try not to go overboard with these – less is often more when it comes to design. Once you’re happy with how everything looks, save your poster as a high-resolution PDF or JPEG file and you’re ready to print it out!
