Making a repeating pattern in Illustrator is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Select the object you want to repeat.

2. Click the “Object” menu and select “Create Pattern.”

3. Select the type of pattern you want to create, and then click “Create.”

4. The pattern will be created in the “Pattern” area of the Illustrator window.

5. To change the pattern’s properties, double-click on the pattern to open the “Pattern Properties” window.

6. Change the pattern’s properties, such as the number of repeats and the speed.

7. To save the pattern, click “File” and then “Save As.”

8. Name the pattern and click “Save.”

9. To use the pattern, select it and then click “Use.”.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, repeating patterns in Illustrator can be very easy to mess up. Make sure that you save your work often, and be sure to keep a backup in case you need to start over.
