Making your HostGator site https is simple and can be done in just a few minutes. First, log into your HostGator account and click on the Site Settings link in the navigation bar. On the Site Settings page, click on the Security tab. In the Security section, you will see two options. The first option is to make your site https by using a SSL certificate. If you have a valid SSL certificate from a trusted certificate authority, then you can click on the Use SSL Certificate button and select your certificate from the list. If you do not have a valid SSL certificate, then you can use the HostGator Secure Site SSL Certificate.

This option will create a secure site using the HostGator Secure Site SSL Certificate. To create a secure site using the HostGator Secure Site SSL Certificate, click on the Create Secure Site button and enter your site name and password in the appropriate fields. Next, click on the Activate Secure Site button and HostGator will activate the secure site. You will now see a green lock in the Security tab of the Site Settings page. To make your site https, you will need to add a https:// prefix to all of the pages on your site. To do this, click on the Pages link in the navigation bar and select the page you want to modify. Next, click on the HTML link in the toolbar and enter the following code into the HTML code field:.

Your Site Title

Next, click on the Save button and your page will be modified to include the https:// prefix. You can now test your site by clicking on the https:// link in the browser address bar and you will see the secure page.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to make your HostGator site https, it is important to be aware that there are potential risks involved. One of the biggest risks is that your site could be hacked if you do not take proper security precautions. Another risk is that your site could be down for a period of time while the transition is made. Therefore, it is important to backup your site before making any changes, and to make sure that you have a plan in place to deal with any potential problems.

To make your site https permanently, you will need to add the https:// prefix to the HTML code of all of the pages on your site.

Next, click on the Save button and your page will be modified to include the https:// prefix.
