How Do I Make My Shopify Instagram Shoppable?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 3:58 am

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms with over 1 billion monthly active users. And with 80% of Instagram users following a business on the platform, it’s clear that Instagram is a powerful marketing tool for eCommerce businesses.

One way to make the most of Instagram for your business is to make your posts shoppable. By adding product tags to your posts, you can give your followers a direct way to purchase the products they see in your photos. In this article, we’ll show you how to set up shoppable posts on your Shopify store’s Instagram account.

First, you’ll need to connect your Shopify store to your Instagram account. To do this, go to the Instagram section of your Shopify settings and enter your Instagram username and password. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to start tagging products in your posts.

PRO TIP: If you are considering using Shopify to make your Instagram shoppable, be aware that there are some risks involved. First, Shopify is a paid service, so you will need to factor that into your budget. Second, Shopify can be tricky to set up and use, so be prepared to invest some time in learning how to use it. Finally, because Shopify is a third-party service, there is always the possibility that it could go down or experience other issues beyond your control.

Next, create a new post on Instagram and upload the photo that you want to tag products in. When you’re ready to tag products, tap the “Tag Products” button at the bottom of the screen.

A product tagging menu will appear, allowing you to select which products you want to tag in your photo. Tap on a product to select it, then tap “Done” when you’re finished tagging products.

Your tagged products will now appear in a carousel below your photo on your Instagram post. Followers can tap on each product to learn more about it and purchase it directly from your store.

By making your posts shoppable, you can make it easier for followers to discover and purchase the products they see in your photos. This is a great way to boost sales and engagement on your Shopify store’s Instagram account.
