How Do I Not Ship Internationally on Shopify?

Last updated on January 17, 2023 @ 4:32 am

There are a few things you can do to not ship internationally on Shopify. One way is to use the built in Shopify shipping settings.

Go to your Shopify admin, and click Settings > Shipping. Then, click Add location.

In the Country field, select the countries that you want to ship to. In the Province/State field, select the states or provinces within those countries that you want to ship to. If you want to ship to all states or provinces within a country, leave the Province/State field blank.

Another way to not ship internationally on Shopify is to use apps from the Shopify App Store. There are many apps available that can help you restrict shipping to certain countries or regions.

If you’re using Shopify’s built-in shipping settings, you can also use the Shipping zones setting to restrict shipping by country or region. To do this, go to your Shopify admin and click Settings > Shipping. Then, click Shipping zones.

PRO TIP: If you are selling products on Shopify and you do not want to ship internationally, you need to take a few steps to ensure that your products are not visible to international customers. Otherwise, you may end up with customers from all over the world trying to purchase your products, which can be very costly and time-consuming.

To avoid this, you should take the following steps:

1. Go to your Shopify admin panel and navigate to Settings > Shipping.

2. In the Shipping zones section, click on the Add shipping zone button.

3. Enter a name for your shipping zone (for example, “Domestic Shipping”).

4. Under Country, select the countries that you want to ship to. If you want to ship to multiple countries, you can add them one at a time by clicking on the + sign next to each country.

5. Save your changes.

Now that you’ve created a shipping zone for your domestic customers, you need to make sure that your products are only visible to those customers. To do this, you need to edit each of your products and change the Visibility settings.

6. Go to your Shopify admin panel and navigate to Products.

Next, click Add shipping zone. In the Zone name field, enter a name for your shipping zone.

In the Countries included in this zone section, select the countries that you want to ship to.

You can also use tags to control which orders are shipped internationally on Shopify. To do this, go to your Shopify admin and click Orders. Then, click an order that you want to edit.

In the Order details section, click Add tag. In the Tag name field, enter a name for your tag. For example, if you want to tag all orders going to Canada, you could enter “Canada” as the tag name.

Once you’ve added your tag, click Save.
