When you’re creating a website, one of the most important things you’ll need to do is add text. This can be done in a number of ways, but in this article, we’re going to focus on how to paste text into Figma.

There are a few different ways to add text in Figma. You can either use the Text tool, or you can paste text from another source.

If you’re using the Text tool, simply click and drag to create a text box. Then, start typing!

If you’re pasting text from another source, like a Word document, you’ll first need to create a text box. To do this, click the Text tool and then click and drag to create a text box. Then, go to Edit > Paste (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + V).

PRO TIP: If you are trying to paste text into Figma and it is not working, make sure that you are using the correct keyboard shortcut. The default keyboard shortcut for pasting text into Figma is cmd + v (on a Mac) or ctrl + v (on a PC).

Once your text is in the text box, you can start styling it using the various options in the toolbar above the canvas. For example, you can change the font family, size, and color; add bold or italic formatting; or even align your text.

If you want to style your text using HTML tags, simply select the Text tool and then click on the HTML button in the toolbar above the canvas. This will bring up a code editor where you can add HTML tags like < p >, < b >, and < u >. Simply add your tags around the relevant pieces of text and then click Save.

Conclusion

As you can see, adding text to your Figma design is a simple process. Whether you’re using the Text tool or pasting from another source, it’s easy to get started. And once your text is in place, there are plenty of options for styling it to perfection.
