How Do I Propose UpWork Contract?

Last updated on January 28, 2023 @ 2:06 pm

You’ve found the perfect freelancer on UpWork. Now, it’s time to seal the deal by proposing a contract. This guide will show you how to do it.

When you’re ready to make your offer, click the Propose Contract button on the freelancer’s profile page. This will open the proposal form.

First, you’ll need to select the type of contract you’re offering:

  • Fixed-price: Perfect for when you have a one-time project with well-defined deliverables.
  • Hourly: Best for when you need on-demand work or ongoing support.

Then, you’ll need to enter some basic information about your project, like the job title and a brief description.

Once you’ve done that, it’s time to set your price. For fixed-price contracts, you’ll need to enter your total budget for the project. For hourly contracts, you’ll need to set your hourly rate.

PRO TIP: There are a few things to keep in mind when proposing a contract on Upwork. First, make sure you are clear about the scope of work and deliverables. Secondly, be realistic about the timeline and budget for the project. Finally, be professional and courteous in your communication with the client.

If you want to add any extras to your contract (like milestone payments or a bonus for early delivery), now is the time to do it. Just click the Add Extra button and fill out the details.

Once you’re happy with your offer, click Send Proposal and wait for the freelancer to accept or decline your offer.
