How Do I Publish a Draft Image in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:09 am

If you have a blog on your Squarespace site, you may want to know how to publish a draft image in Squarespace. There are a few different ways to do this, and the method you use will depend on how you want the image to appear on your site.

If you want the image to appear as a thumbnail on your blog post, then you can add it to the post using the ‘Insert/edit image’ button in the editor. Simply click on the button, select the image from your computer, and then click ‘Insert’.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, publishing a draft image in Squarespace can lead to your image being published on the live site instead of just in the draft version. This can cause problems if you are not ready for the image to go live. Make sure that you only publish draft images when you are sure that you want them to go live.

If you want the image to appear as a featured image on your blog post, then you can add it to the post using the ‘Featured Image’ option in the editor. Simply click on the ‘Featured Image’ button, select the image from your computer, and then click ‘Insert’.

If you want the image to appear in its own post, then you can create a separate post for it using the ‘Create a Post’ option in the editor. Simply click on the ‘Create a Post’ button, select the image from your computer, and then click ‘Publish’.
