How Do I Put My Shopify in Maintenance Mode?

If you’re planning on making changes to your Shopify store, it’s a good idea to put it into maintenance mode first. This will allow you to make changes without interruption, and ensure that your customers can still access your store when they need to.

Maintenance mode is a feature that allows you to disable parts of your shop, or the whole thing, while you make changes. It’s perfect for when you need to make changes that could take some time, or if you’re not sure how the changes will affect your live site.

When your shop is in maintenance mode, customers will see a message letting them know that the site is down for maintenance. They’ll still be able to browse your products and add them to their cart, but they won’t be able to checkout until you’ve finished making changes and turned off maintenance mode.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on putting your Shopify store in maintenance mode, there are a few things you should be aware of. First, you will need to login to your Shopify account and go to the “Settings” tab. From there, you will want to click on the “Checkout” tab and then scroll down to the “Maintenance Mode” section. Once you have found that section, you will want to check the “Enable Maintenance Mode” box and then click on the “Save” button.

Now that your store is in maintenance mode, anyone who tries to visit your store will see a message saying that the store is currently closed for maintenance. If you want, you can customize this message by clicking on the “Customize Maintenance Mode Page” link. Keep in mind that while your store is in maintenance mode, you will not be able to process any orders. Therefore, if you have any pending orders, you may want to consider cancelling them or contacting the customer to let them know about the delay.

If you’re not sure how to put your Shopify store into maintenance mode, don’t worry – it’s easy! Just follow these simple steps:

1) Log into your Shopify admin area
2) Go to the ‘Settings’ section
3) Click on ‘General’
4) Find the ‘Maintenance Mode’ section and click the ‘Enable Maintenance Mode’ button
5) That’s it! Your shop is now in maintenance mode.

Once you’ve finished making changes, simply go back into the ‘Maintenance Mode’ section and click the ‘Disable Maintenance Mode’ button. Your store will then be live again and available for customers to purchase from.
