How Do I Put My WooCommerce Site in Test Mode?

When you’re just getting started with WooCommerce, it’s important to put your site into test mode so you can make sure everything is working correctly before going live. In test mode, no real payments will be processed and you’ll be able to see how your site works with the WooCommerce plugin without having to worry about taking live orders.

To put your WooCommerce site into test mode, first log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. Then, go to WooCommerce > Settings and click on the Checkout tab. At the bottom of the Checkout tab, you’ll see an option to “Enable Test Mode”. Check the box next to this option and click on the “Save changes” button.

Once you’ve saved your changes, you’ll see a notice at the top of the Settings page that says “Test mode is enabled. You should only enable Test mode if you are testing payments. “ This means that your WooCommerce site is now in test mode and you can start testing out the plugin!

PRO TIP: If you are not comfortable with code, we recommend you seek help from a developer before making any changes. Forcing your site into test mode could break things if done incorrectly.
