How Do I Record My Figma Prototype?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:55 am

When you want to record your Figma prototype, there are a few things you need to do first.

1. Make sure your prototype is published and that you have the link handy.

2. Go to Record on Figma’s website and click “Start Recording.”

3. A new window will pop up. In the “Name” field, give your recording a name. Then, paste your prototype’s link into the “Figma Prototype URL” field and click “Start Recording.

4. Now, simply use your mouse and keyboard to go through the prototype as you would if you were a real user. To stop recording, just click the “Stop Recording” button in the upper-right corner of the window.

5. When you’re done, click “Save” and then “Download.”

Your recording will now be downloaded as a .mp4 file that you can watch anytime, anywhere.

Conclusion:

Recording your Figma prototype is easy! Just follow the steps above and you’ll be able to create a recording that you can watch back and share with anyone.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, recording your Figma prototype can result in lost data or a corrupted file. Make sure to back up your design before recording and be sure to save the recording to a safe location.
