How do I redirect a Namecheap HTTPS?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:34 pm

If you have an account with Namecheap, and you have a HTTPS account, you can redirect your Namecheap HTTPS to an HTTP account. To redirect your Namecheap HTTPS account, follow these steps:

Log in to your Namecheap account. Click on the account name in the top right corner. Click on Settings. Click on HTTPS.

PRO TIP: If you are attempting to redirect a Namecheap HTTPS URL, it is important to note that you must first have an SSL Certificate installed on your site. Without an SSL Certificate, the URL will not redirect properly and you will receive an error message. Additionally, your SSL Certificate must be configured correctly in order for the redirect to work properly. If you are unsure of how to properly configure your SSL Certificate, please contact Namecheap support for assistance.

In the “HTTPS Mode” column, select “HTTP.” Click the red “Redirect” button. Type in the new URL for your HTTP account in the “HTTP URL” field. Click the “Update” button.

That’s all there is to it! Your Namecheap HTTPS account will now be redirected to your new HTTP account. If you ever need to go back to your HTTPS account, just follow the steps above and your account will be back up and running.
