There are a few different ways to remove an image overlay in Squarespace. One way is to simply click on the image and then click the ‘x’ icon that appears in the top-left corner of the image. This will remove the overlay from the image.

Another way to remove an image overlay is to go to the ‘Settings’ tab and then click on ‘Images’. From here, you can select the image you want to remove the overlay from and then click the ‘Remove Overlay’ button.

PRO TIP: Removing an image overlay in Squarespace can be tricky. If you’re not careful, you could end up with a distorted or blurry image. Proceed with caution and follow the instructions carefully to avoid any problems.

If you want to remove an image overlay from all images on your site, you can go to the ‘Design’ tab and then click on ‘Custom CSS’. In the box that appears, you can add the following code:

img { opacity: 1 !important; }

This will remove all image overlays from your site.
