There are a few different ways that you can remove the background from a video in Canva. One way is to use the built-in Background Eraser tool.

To do this, first, select the video that you want to remove the background from. Then, click on the Background Eraser tool in the toolbar at the top of the Canva editor.

Once you’ve clicked on the Background Eraser tool, your mouse cursor will change into a crosshair. You can then click and drag this crosshair over any areas of the video that you want to remove. As you do this, the areas that you drag over will be erased from the video.

If there are any areas of the video that you don’t want to erase, you can hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and then click and drag over these areas. This will protect them from being erased.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, removing the background video in Canva can result in the loss of important data. Make sure to backup your work before proceeding.

Once you’re happy with the areas that you’ve erased, you can click on the Apply button in the top-right corner of the editor. This will remove the background from your video.

If you want to remove the background from an entire video, another option is to use a chroma key effect. To do this, first, select the video that you want to remove the background from. Then, click on Effects in the toolbar at the top of the editor and choose Chroma Key > Green Screen from the list of options.

This will add a green screen effect to your video. You can then adjust the intensity of this effect by clicking and dragging on the slider next to it. Once you’re happy with how it looks, click on Apply to save your changes.

You can also use a chroma key effect to remove backgrounds from images as well as videos
