How Do I Remove Background in Photoshop?
There are a few different ways to remove the background of an image in Photoshop. You can use the Eraser tool, the Background Eraser tool, or the Magic Eraser tool. You can also select and delete the background layer.
To remove the background with the Eraser tool:
- Open your image in Photoshop.
- Select the Eraser tool from the toolbar.
- Click and drag over the areas of the image that you want to remove.
To remove the background with the Background Eraser tool:
PRO TIP: When attempting to remove the background of an image in Photoshop, it is important to be aware that this process can result in the loss of some image data. In particular, areas of the image that are similar to the background are at risk of being removed along with the background.
- Open your image in Photoshop.
- Select the Background Eraser tool from the toolbar.
To remove the background with the Magic Eraser tool:
- Open your image in Photoshop.
- Select the Magic Eraser tool
- .Click on the area of the image that you want to remove. The background will be removed automatically.
You can also select and delete the background layer.
To do this:
- Open your image in Photoshop.
- Click on the background layer (it’s usually called “Layer 0” or something similar).
- Press delete (or backspace) on your keyboard. The background will be deleted and you’ll be left with a transparent background!
