How Do I Remove Regular Price in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:32 pm

It’s no secret that WooCommerce is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms on the web. And one of the things that makes it so popular is its flexibility.

With WooCommerce, you can sell anything, anywhere.

But one of the things that can be a bit tricky to customize is the way regular prices are displayed. By default, WooCommerce will show the regular price of a product, followed by the sale price (if there is one).

However, there are certain situations where you might want to remove the regular price entirely. For example, if you’re running a temporary sale and don’t want to show the regular price next to the sale price.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to sell products on your website, you may want to remove the “regular price” from your product pages. This can be done by going to the “WooCommerce” settings page and selecting the “Remove Regular Price” option. Please note that this will only remove the regular price from your product pages, and not from any other WooCommerce pages or areas on your website.

So in this article, we’ll show you how to remove the regular price in WooCommerce.

Here’s how to remove the regular price in WooCommerce:

Step 1: Install and activate the Advanced Custom Fields plugin

If you haven’t already, install and activate the Advanced Custom Fields plugin. For more information, see our guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Step 2: Create a new field group

Once the plugin is activated, go to Custom Fields > Add New. Then create a new field group with the following settings:

Field Group Name: Remove Regular Price (or whatever you want)

Location Rule:
Show this field group if All of these rules match:

Product Type → equals → Simple product

Product Type → equals → External/Affiliate product

Product Type → equals → Variable product

Save your changes.

Now that you’ve created your field group, it’s time to add some fields to it.

Step 3: Add a new “True/False” field

Click on the Add Field button and select True/False from the list of available field types.

Enter Remove Regular Price for the Field Label.

Make sure that both True and False are selected for Default Value.

Save your changes.

Now that you’ve added your field, it’s time to add it to your products.

Step 4: Add your new field to products

Go to Products > All Products and edit a product.

In the right sidebar, you should see your new Remove Regular Price field group.

Select True for Remove Regular Price field.

Update your product.

Now when you view your product page, you’ll see that the regular price has been removed.
