How do I request GPU quota on Google Cloud?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:48 pm

In order to request GPU quota on Google Cloud, you first need to create an account and create a project. After creating your project, you will need to add a compute resource.

In the compute resource, you will need to select the Compute Engine Instance Type and select the appropriate region.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to use Google Cloud for GPU-based applications, it is important to know how to request GPU quota. Otherwise, your application may be denied access to the GPUs you need.

To request GPU quota, go to the Google Cloud Console and select the project you want to use. Then, click on the “Menu” icon in the top-left corner and select “APIs & Services”. On the API page, select “Quotas” from the left-hand menu.

On the Quotas page, click on the “+ New Quota” button. In the “Metric” field, type in “GPUs”. Then, in the “Limit” field, type in the number of GPUs you need for your application. Finally, click on the “Request Quota” button.

Your quota request will be reviewed by Google and you will be notified via email when it has been approved or denied.

Once you have added your compute resource, you will need to set the quota for your GPU. To do this, you will need to open the Compute Engine Settings for your compute resource and select the Quota tab.

On the Quota tab, you will need to select the Request GPU Quota checkbox and then enter the amount of GPU quota that you would like to request.
