It is easy to rotate an image in a layer in Photoshop. You can do so by going to the ‘Edit’ menu, selecting ‘Transform’, and then choosing ‘Rotate’.

You can also use the keyboard shortcut ‘Ctrl+T’ to access the Transform tool.

Once you have accessed the Transform tool, you will see a bounding box around your image. To rotate your image, simply click and drag on one of the corner handles of the bounding box.

As you do so, you will see a preview of your rotated image.

PRO TIP: If you are trying to rotate an image in a layer in Photoshop, be aware that this will only work if the layer is unlocked. If the layer is locked, you will not be able to rotate the image.

If you want to rotate your image by a specific amount, you can do so by entering a value in the ‘Angle’ field in the options bar at the top of the screen. You can also use the ‘W’ and ‘H’ fields to enter values for width and height, respectively. These values will determine the size of your rotated image.

Once you are happy with your rotated image, simply click the ‘Commit’ button in the options bar, or press Enter or Return on your keyboard. Your image will now be rotated in its layer.
