How Do I Save a High Quality Image in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:39 am

When it comes to saving images for the web, JPEG is usually the best format. But what do you do when you have a PNG or GIF with a transparent background that you want to keep the transparency for?

The best way to save these images is to use the Save for Web feature in Photoshop. This will give you the option to save your image as a PNG with transparency.

PRO TIP: When saving an image in Photoshop, it is important to choose the correct file format and quality settings to ensure that the image looks its best. Choosing the wrong settings can result in an image that is blurry or pixelated.

The Save for Web feature can be found under File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy). When the dialog box opens, make sure you have the PNG option selected from the drop-down menu.

You can then adjust the quality of your image until you are happy with the results. Once you are satisfied, click on the Save button and choose a location to save your file.
