How Do I Set Up Terms and Conditions on Shopify?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:33 pm

Setting up terms and conditions on Shopify is easy and only takes a few minutes. First, log in to your Shopify account and go to the “Settings” page.

Next, click on the “Checkout” tab and scroll down to the “Order processing” section. In this section, you will see a checkbox that says “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.” Check this box and then click “Save.”

PRO TIP: If you are planning to set up terms and conditions on your Shopify store, be aware that there are a few potential risks. First, if you do not carefully craft your terms and conditions, you could inadvertently create legal liabilities for yourself or your business. Second, if you include terms and conditions that are too onerous or one-sided, customers may be reluctant to do business with you. Finally, if you change your terms and conditions without notifying customers, they may be surprised or upset by the new terms.

Now that you have set up your terms and conditions, you need to add them to your Shopify store. To do this, go to the “Online Store” tab and click on “Pages.”

Next, click “Add Page” and select “Terms & Conditions” from the drop-down menu. Give your page a title (for example, “Terms & Conditions”) and then enter your terms and conditions in the text editor. Be sure to click “Save” when you’re finished.

Your terms and conditions are now live on your Shopify store!
