How Do I Split in Shopify?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 12:46 am

If you’re running a Shopify store, you might need to know how to split products into multiple parts. This can be useful if you’re selling products that come in multiple pieces, or if you want to offer customers the option to buy just one part of a product.

Fortunately, Shopify makes it easy to split products into multiple parts. In this article, we’ll show you how to do it.

First, log into your Shopify admin and go to the Products page. Find the product that you want to split and click on it.

PRO TIP: If you are considering splitting your Shopify store into two separate stores, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, it is important to make sure that each store has its own unique URL. Secondly, you will need to set up two separate payment methods – one for each store. Finally, you will need to create two separate shipping profiles – one for each store. Failure to do any of these things could result in lost orders, confused customers, and a general headache. So please, split your Shopify store wisely!

On the product page, scroll down to the “Variants” section. Here, you’ll see all of the different versions of the product that you’re selling. For each variant, there will be a “SKU” field.

To split a product into multiple parts, simply add a letter or number after the SKU for each variant. For example, if you have a variant with a SKU of “ABC123”, you could add “-1”, “-2”, etc., to create additional variants for each part of the product.

Once you’ve added the letters or numbers after the SKUs for each variant, scroll down and click “Save”. Your product will now be split into multiple parts!

Now that you know how to split products in Shopify, you can start offering customers more options when they purchase from your store. By offering products in multiple parts, you can make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for and make sure they’re getting exactly what they need.
