How Do I Transfer From Figma to XD?

If you’re a UX or web designer, you’ve probably heard of Figma and Adobe XD. Both are great tools for designing user interfaces and websites. But which one should you use?

Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, while Adobe XD is a vector-based tool for designing and prototyping user experiences for web and mobile apps. So, which one is right for you?

Well, it depends on your needs. If you’re looking for a more robust design tool, with more features and flexibility, Figma is the way to go. However, if you need a simpler tool for quickly prototyping designs, Adobe XD might be a better fit.

No matter which tool you choose, there’s no need to worry about how to transfer your designs from one to the other. With Inkscape’s export function, you can easily export your Figma designs as PDFs or SVGs, and then import them into Adobe XD. Here’s how:

PRO TIP: If you are planning to transfer your design from Figma to Adobe XD, there are a few things you should be aware of. First and foremost, Adobe XD does not support some of the features that Figma does. This means that you may have to re-create some of your design in XD. Additionally, the file formats between the two programs are not compatible, so you will need to export your design from Figma as an image or PDF.
  1. Open your design in Figma. Select the file you want to export and click on the “Export” icon in the top right corner.
  2. Choose your export settings. In the “Export” window that pops up, select “PDF” or “SVG” from the “Format” dropdown menu. Then, choose whether you want to export individual layers or artboards.
  3. Click “Export”.

This will open up a new window where you can choose where to save your file.

  4. Open Adobe XD and import your file. To import your file into Adobe XD, open the app and go to “File > Import..”. Then, select your exported PDF or SVG file from the location where you saved it.

That’s all there is to it! Once you’ve imported your design into Adobe XD, you can start adding interactivity and working on your prototype.
