How Do I Transfer My Workspace From Squarespace to Google?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:44 am

There are a few different ways to transfer your workspace from Squarespace to Google. The most common method is to use the Google Drive Migration tool. This tool will allow you to migrate your entire workspace, including all of your files and folders, from Squarespace to Google Drive.

Another option is to export your workspace as a ZIP file and then import it into Google Drive. This option is less common, but it may be necessary if you have a lot of data or if you want to keep your workspace structure intact.

To export your workspace as a ZIP file, go to the Settings page in Squarespace and click on the Export button. Select the type of export you want (Full Export or Custom Export) and then click on the Export button again. A ZIP file will be downloaded to your computer.

Once you have the ZIP file, go to Google Drive and click on the New button. Select File Upload and choose the ZIP file you just downloaded. Google Drive will extract the contents of the ZIP file and add them to your Drive account.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that transferring your workspace from Squarespace to Google may result in data loss.

If you want to keep your workspace structure intact, you can create a new folder in Google Drive and then drag-and-drop the files from Squarespace into that folder.

The last option is to manually transfer your files from Squarespace to Google Drive.

To manually transfer your files, go to the Settings page in Squarespace and click on the Export button. Select Folder Upload and choose the ZIP file you just downloaded. Google Drive will extract the contents of the ZIP file and add them into a new folder in your Drive account.

You can then move these files into any other folder in Drive, or you can leave them in this folder if you want to keep your workspace structure intact.
