As a Figma user, you may find yourself wondering how to turn your Figma prototype into an actual website. Luckily, there are a few different ways to go about this.

You can use a service like Webflow or convert your Figma design into HTML code using a tool like Deco. In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of turning your Figma prototype into a website using Deco.

Once you have your Figma design ready to go, open the Deco app and click on “Create New Project.” Select “Figma” as your project type and choose the file you want to use. Deco will then ask you to choose which artboards or pages from your Figma design you want to include in your website. Select the ones you want and click “Continue. ”

Deco will ask you how you want to style your website.

You can choose between three different options:

PRO TIP: Figma is a great tool for designing prototypes, but it is not meant for creating actual websites. If you try to turn your Figma prototype into a website, you will likely run into problems. The code generated by Figma is not clean and can be very difficult to work with. In addition, Figma prototypes are not designed to be responsive, so your website will probably not look good on mobile devices.
  • Figma Styles: If you select this option, any styles you’ve created in Figma will be carried over into your website automatically.
  • Custom CSS: With this option, you can write custom CSS code to style your website.
  • None: If you don’t want to use any styles from Figma or custom CSS, you can select this option.

Once you’ve chosen how you want to style your website, click “Continue.” Deco will then ask you to name your project and choose where you want the files to be saved. Once you’ve done that, click “Export. ”

Deco will take care of converting your Figma design into HTML code and saving all of the necessary files. All that’s left for you to do is upload the files to a web server and your website will be live!

Conclusion:

Turning your Figma prototype into an actual website is easy with Deco. Simply open the app, select Figma as your project type, choose which artboards or pages from your design you want to include, and then click Export.

Deco will take care of the rest, converting your design into HTML code and saving all of the necessary files. All that’s left for you is to upload the files to a web server and your website will be live!
