How Do I Unpublish My Wix Website?

Assuming you would like to take your Wix website down:

If you created your site using the Wix Editor, you can unpublish your site at any time. Once you unpublish your site, it will no longer be visible to the public. Follow these steps to unpublish your site:

Log in to your Wix account.
Click on My Sites at the top left-hand side of the screen.
Click Manage Site next to the relevant site.
Click Unpublish in the Publish Status section.

If you created your site using Wix ADI:

You cannot unpublish your site if you created it using Wix ADI. However, you can delete your site entirely.

To do this, follow these steps:

PRO TIP: If you are considering unpublishing your Wix website, please be aware that this will make your site unavailable to the public and any existing content will be permanently deleted. Once you have unpublished your site, you will not be able to recover it or any of its content.

Log in to your Wix account.
Click on My Sites at the top left-hand side of the screen.
Click Manage Site next to the relevant site.
Click Delete Site in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

To sum it up, if you want to unpublish your Wix website, you can do so by following the steps above. However, if you created your website using Wix ADI, then you will have to delete your website entirely.
