How Do I Update WooCommerce Version?

WooCommerce is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms on the web. If you’re running a WooCommerce store, it’s important to keep your WooCommerce version up to date. Outdated WooCommerce versions can introduce security vulnerabilities and bugs that can impact your business.

There are two ways to update WooCommerce: automatic updates and manual updates.

Automatic updates are the easiest way to keep your WooCommerce store up to date. WooCommerce will automatically update itself when a new version is available. To enable automatic updates, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Automatic Updates and select the “Enable Automatic Updates” checkbox.

PRO TIP: If you are using an older version of WooCommerce, it is highly recommended that you update to the latest version. Older versions of WooCommerce may not be compatible with the latest WordPress version, which could lead to instability or even break your site.

Manual updates require you to download the latest WooCommerce files from WordPress.org and upload them to your server. To update WooCommerce manually:

1. Download the latest WooCommerce files from WordPress.org. 2. Unzip the files on your computer. 3.

Using an FTP client, upload the unzipped files to your website’s root directory (this is typically /public_html). Be sure to overwrite any existing files. 4. That’s it! Your WooComerce store should now be updated to the latest version.

Keeping your WooCommerce version up to date is an important part of running a successful online store. Automatic updates are the easiest way to stay on top of things, but you can also update WooCommerce manually if needed.
